Day 1 - (08/03) Crawfordsville, IN

Today was our most casual get out of town act to-date.  Carol putzed (is that a word?) around in the morning, Dick got a haircut, we finished loading the trailer and didn't get on the road until 12:30pm.
OK, OK ... we're finally ready to get going.
If we can get inside.
Ah, rolling at last!

After 223 uneventful miles, we ended up at a KOA Kampground in Crawfordsville, IN.  The route: I-70W to Indianapolis, I-65N and I-465S through and around Indianapolis, and I-74W to Crawfordsville.
Goodbye Ohio
Hello Indiana
The temperature stayed in the low 90's, the sky was clear most of the day and there were light breezes.

The campground is small, well kept, and quite pleasant.  It's not fancy.
KOA entrance (office, pool, restrooms, laundry)
Site #39
We had a delightful, authentic Mexican dinner at Little Mexico in Crawfordsville.

We head for Davenport, IA tomorrow.

  1. Too bad your route doesn't come a little further north ....
