Day 20 - (08/22) Portland, OR ... Day 6

It was another nice day in Portland and it was full of family stuff.

Tim & Elizabeth went to work in the morning.  Carol and Anna went to swimming lessons.  Dick moved topsoil from the driveway to the back yard.
Anna takes swimming lessons here
And she's doing very well

By 10:30 we decided a change was in order ... so we tried Voodoo Doughnuts.  As usual, there was a line.  They have lots of variety  (see http://voodoodoughnut.com/menu.php).  Prices vary from $0.95 to $5.75 each ... that's right, $5.75!  The highly rated and much discussed bacon maple bar (@ $2.50 each) really is quite good.  We won't be venturing there very often.

Tim and Dick put the shed wall back together (the one we tore apart yesterday).  Caulk and paint will get applied by Friday.  They were two tired puppies by dinner time.

Barbara, Lucy and William joined us in the late afternoon.  We had a great  summertime dinner of BLT sandwiches, corn on the cob and ice cream.
Carol & Elizabeth have their hands full
(and are loving it!)

Kenny is away for a few days.  So, Barbara and the children are staying at Tim & Elizabeth's (with us).
