The sailing part was delayed by light problems on Tim's boat trailer. We got the left-turn and left brake light working reliably. The right-turn and right brake light was intermittent. We finally took off at about 1pm for an hour trip to Scoggins Valley Park/Henry Hagg Lake. The lake is 25 miles southwest of Portland, at the base of Oregon's coastal range.
Henry Hagg Lake |
There at last and ready to unload |
Lucy & Anna are ready to sail (but, the mast & sail haven't arrived yet) |
Tim, Elizabeth & Anna are off on the 1st ride |
Anna, Barbara & William at our picnic site |
We returned from the lake an hour later than planned. The Thanh Thao Restaurant was able to change our reservation when we called from the road.
We ordered a wide selection of dishes and everyone sampled everything. The servings were quite large, so guess what we're having for lunch tomorrow.
The Orange Chicken was outstanding |
Anna kept saying she was full, but kept on eating |
Lucy & Kenny |
Shirlene & Barbara |
The dinner & camera brought lots of smiles |
It was a weary group that returned home after a day in the sun and dinner ... still with stuff to do. Tim & Elizabeth finished preparing for tomorrow's church services. Carol finished the laundry. Dick wrote documentation for Kenny's meter project.
