Day 24 - (08/26) Portland, OR ... Day 10

Today is Sunday.  It's usually an incredibly busy day in the home of two ministers who co-pastor two churches.  The intensity increased beyond normal because they're also celebrating the 100th anniversary of Lincoln Street Methodist Church today.

The anniversary celebration consisted of an afternoon of community fun.  There was a small rock band, a large jazz band, a juggler, church bell ringing, cake, and water for bike riders who passed the church.  Sorry, no pictures.

Some unusual work assignments grew from the day's events.  Carol played piano for the Lincoln Street service, helped children ring the church bell during the celebration, and handed water to bike riders (25,000 riders participated in today's Sunday Parkways ride).  Elizabeth preached two services and coordinated activities of the celebration throughout the afternoon.

Tim left for an overnight pastors conference in the afternoon.

Carol, Dick, Elizabeth and Anna went to the Bagley's for a delightful BBQ dinner and more fun times.

Who wants to go to sleep more, William or Elizabeth?
