Day 13 - (08/15) Post Falls, ID

The morning was cool & overcast.  We had breakfast at Cracker Barrel on the way out of Missoula.  The sun came out as we drove 172 miles on I-90W.  The route took us into Idaho, passed Coeur d'Alene, and a few miles down the road to Post Falls.
Ah ... we've now visited IA, NE and ID!

Scenery along the drive was beautiful.  There were lots of mountain passes to climb and deep canyons.  Coeur d'Alene Lake is stunning.

The highlight of the day was camping at Ross Point Conference Center.  This stop was made possible by Harriet Reece.  Harriet is in charge of the kitchen and purchasing of food for the Center.  She was in Carol's choirs (K through 12) at IPC and has become a very close friend of the family.  The Center had no RV reservations for today and said to park anywhere.  So, we're about 10 yards from the Spokane River where ski boats and jet skis fly by regularly.
Nice spot, huh?

They have a fun swimming area
And some classy neighbors across the river
Carol enjoys the cool water

We shared a fun pizza dinner with Tim & Harriet, Ben & Heidi Miller, and their children.  Heidi is Harriet's older sister.  Ben & Heidi are heading back home to Columbus tomorrow morning.

What a great playground for their children!

Carol & I really enjoyed the peaceful evening by the river.  Boats passed occasionally and a few ducks paraded around the trailer.  What a great place to relax and fall asleep!
